CREATIVE TOOLS FOR EMOTIONAL EXPRESSION

Grief isn’t always verbal. Sometimes it shows up in color, movement, sound, or silence.
Creative tools offer a way to feel without needing to explain — to express the inexpressible through art, rhythm, and ritual.

These practices may include:

  • Journaling prompts for grief, anger, or memory
  • Collage, painting, sculpture, or mixed media as emotional release
  • Music-making or curated playlists as emotional scaffolding
  • Movement, dance, or body-based processing (even if it’s just swaying alone in a room)

You don’t need to be an artist. You just need space to feel what’s real — and let it move through you.

WANT TO PARTNER WITH SCRIPTED AND BE AN ALLY?

We welcome artists, art therapists, somatic guides, and expressive arts facilitators who support grief and emotional processing through creative practice.

If your tools help people move their feelings, hold their sorrow, or speak in nonverbal ways — we’d love to feature your work.
