ASKING FOR HELP OR SUPPORT

It’s not easy to ask — especially when you’re used to being the strong one, the caregiver, the “I’ve got it” person. But at some point in this journey, you’re going to need someone. And asking doesn’t make you weak. It makes you human.

This page offers gentle support for:

  • Naming what you need, even if it’s small
  • Reaching out without guilt or apology
  • Accepting help without feeling like a burden
  • Creating a shared care plan or helper rotation
  • Knowing who’s safe to ask — and who’s not

Grief and planning are not meant to be carried alone. You are allowed to ask. You are worthy of support.
