CREATING ALTARS & SACRED SPACES WITH NATURAL ELEMENTS

Altars don’t have to be religious. They can be simple, personal, and rooted in what matters to you — a space to remember, reflect, or just be.

Natural elements help bring the sacred down to earth.

You might include:

  • Stones, shells, leaves, or feathers that hold meaning
  • A candle, photo, or handwritten note
  • A plant, small bowl of water, or piece of fabric
  • Anything that grounds you or reminds you of who or what you’re honoring

Your altar might live in a garden, on a windowsill, or in a box that only you open. It’s yours to create — and recreate.

WANT TO PARTNER WITH SCRIPTED AND BE AN ALLY?

We are looking for artists, doulas, ritual guides, and community members who help others build personal altars or sacred spaces — especially those grounded in nature, story, and personal truth.

If you lead altar-making workshops or offer tools for meaningful space creation, let’s talk.
